Cynthia Corenn Reese Burns, 65, entered into rest on Saturday, June 21, 2025.

Cynthia was born on January 1, 1960, in Vidalia, Georgia, to the late Clarence O. Reese and Ella Grace Martin Reese. She was raised in Bonaire and spent the majority of her life in Warner Robins, where she became known for her warm spirit and outgoing personality, truly never meeting a stranger.

A dedicated and hardworking woman, Cynthia devoted 38 years to Kroger as a grocery manager, where she took great pride in her work and the many relationships she built along the way. Outside of work, she found joy in life’s simple pleasures—catching a good movie at the theater, relaxing on the shores of Mexico Beach, Florida, and most of all, cherishing time with her beloved daughters and grandchildren. Whether on a family trip or gathering around the table, she was happiest when making memories with those she loved most.

Cynthia’s kindness, laughter, and deep love for her family will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband, Robert E. Burns; daughters, Kimberly Burns, Gina Fonte (Joseph), Julie Matthews (D.C.), and Kaitlin Burns; grandchildren, Robert Burns, Jackson Fonte, Logan Fonte, Scarlett Matthews, and Wyatt Matthews; siblings, Monica Morris (Tony), Jane Reese, Jan Morris (Todd), and Catherine Gray (John), along with many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Cynthia will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
