She is survived by her daughter, Jade Day; her mother, Barbara Day; her brother, Thomas Day; and her sister, Christine Day. She is also survived by a host of cousins.

In her early thirties, Cindy backpacked and hiked the “Gates of the Arctic” in Bettles, Alaska. Her greatest adventure was traveling to China in 1999 to adopt her daughter, Jade. Jade and Cindy had many more adventures together. They often attended any fair or festival within a 100 mile radius. They went back to China together in 2012, went on a Disney cruise sponsored by the adoption agency, drove cross country a couple of times touring the classic locations like the Grand Canyon and numerous museums.

When she moved to the mobile side of the business, she worked on the development of the switching needed for cell phones to pass calls from tower to tower as people moved about. Cindy transitioned out of the phone market when she began working for Raytheon. The job at Raytheon allowed her to transition to a civilian job at the Warner Robins Air Force base.
