Darryl Harvey Noles, nicknamed Bricklayer, age 62, passed away on February 11, 2026. He was born in Eastman, GA, on April 23, 1963, to the late Lucille Ramage and Harvey Noles.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Noles; his daughters, Barbara Buys and Deedra Hoeft (Nick); and his cherished grandchildren, Brian Gordon Jr. (Trinity), Jacob Gordon (Chasity), Gabriel Ford, Alanna Layfield, Alyssa Gordon, Hunter Hoeft, and Dylan Hoeft; and his first great-grandchild (Logan). He is also survived by his sisters, Deborah Dyer (Steve) and Donna Kerr (Ricky).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Patty Gordon (Brian), and his brother Dewayne Noles.
He was a skilled brick mason who worked with stone, block, and brick. He truly loved working with his hands and took great pride in his craft. Through his hard work and talent, he built not just structures, but beauty, making everything he touched something to admire and lasting for generations.
He was a quiet man by nature—never one to say too much unless he’d had a beer or two, but his actions always spoke louder than words. He loved his family deeply and was incredibly proud of each and every one of them. Nothing meant more to him than seeing his children and grandchildren grow and thrive.
He had a true love for the outdoors and found peace in fishing, hunting, and simply being outside. Whether on the water, in the woods, or gathered with family, those were the moments he treasured most.
He will be remembered for his steady presence, his quiet strength, and the deep love he had for his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
