Daveyjohn Cleveland Fisher, 73, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
Born in Macon, Georgia, Daveyjohn was the son of the late Stanley Jessie Fisher, Sr. and Martha I. Smith Fisher. A proud graduate of Dudley Hughes High School, Class of 1972, he was a talented athlete who played both basketball and baseball. During high school, he began working at the Macon Boys Club, where he served as a lifeguard and event director.
Following high school, Daveyjohn laid bricks with Charles Walls before joining Mulberry Provisions/ Sysco Food Services, where he began as a stock boy and order puller. Over the years, he took on numerous roles from managing the freezer, driving trucks, and working in sales, to eventually holding the position of Vice President. He served Mulberry Provisions/ Sysco Food Services for 27 years until his disability retirement in 2007.
In his sparetime, Daveyjohn found joy in playing softball, fishing, and spending time outdoors camping with his grandchildren or deer hunting. A deeply family-oriented man, he cherished every moment with his loved ones. His devotion to his wife, Nancy, was steadfast and true. He was known for his favorite saying about marriage: “If you want to know how marriage works, marriage is like a bed of roses, you love through the thorns along the way. You’ve got to pluck them and let it go. Marriage was made in heaven, but so was thunder and lightning.”
Above all, Daveyjohn loved and was proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always putting family at the center of his world. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, Daveyjohn was preceded in death by his brother, Stanley Jessie Fisher, Jr.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife, Nancy Fisher of Warner Robins; children, Nathan John Fisher (Jessa) of Waynesville, and Amanda Leigh Fisher Harman of Byron; grandchildren, Dalton Chase Fisher (Jessica), Garrett Wade Fisher, Remi Rose Fisher, Roxi Rae Fisher, Kaleb Andrew Gladden (Ashley), Matthew Elijah Harman (Hanna), Gabriel James Harman; great-grandchildren, Bella, Adilyn, Serenity, Audriee, Dallas, Carter, and Daisy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other beloved extended family members and friends.
