David Van Revell, born on July 30,1958, passed away on August 12, 2024. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, James Kenneth Revell and Georgia Revell, and his brother, Jimmy (Mary) Revell.
David is survived by his siblings, Jeff (Susan) Revell, Norma (Charlie) Adams, Jamie Flowers, and Michelle Grantham; his son, Justin (Jordan) Cummings, and three cherished granddaughters. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
David was a man of simple pleasures, enjoying early morning coffee, playing guitar, cruising, and automobiles. David loved his family and friends, fishing, laughing, and joking. A devout believer in the Bible, David was proud of his service in the Army and took great pride in serving his country. Despite facing numerous health challenges from childhood and surviving a severe accident as an adult, David remained resilient and lived life with a joyful spirit.
David had a deep love for the ocean, taking long walks on the beach and watching the sunset. He treasured his early morning trips to Waffle House, a tradition that brought him much joy. He adored his mother, who held a special place in his heart. His truck, affectionately named "Thunder Bucket," was a symbol of his love for life’s simple pleasures. David was also a devoted Georgia Bulldogs fan.
As a private person, David valued his solitude but was deeply grateful for the love and support of those close to him. The family would like to extend special thanks to Johnny and Linda Sykes for their kindness and devoted friendship.
David's life was filled with love, laughter, and resilience. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
