Dawyn E. Borders, Sr.

Dawyn Edward Borders, Sr., 79, entered into rest on Friday, January 20, 2012.

Dawyn was born on July 15, 1932 in Marshallville, Georgia. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, he retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. Dawyn was a devoted member of Trinity United Methodist Church, he was a Mason with the Masonic Lodge of Reynolds, and was also a supporter of the Warner Robins High School Demons. His parents, Morris Waldo Borders and Ruby Treadwell Borders; and brother, Ronald Borders, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Betty Alice Borders, Warner Robins; children, Eddie Borders (Lisa), Newnan, Georgia, Gay Fountain (Charlie), Warner Robins, and Morris Borders (Kelly), Acworth, Georgia; grandchildren, Andrew, Chris, and Kaitlyn Borders, Jessica Robinson (David), and Jordan, Caleb, and Lauren Borders; great-grandchildren, David and Starla Borders, and Brent Robinson; and siblings, Billy Borders, Augusta, Shirley Matthews, Warner Robins, and Jane Baker, Smyrna, Georgia.

A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, January 22, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Trinity United Methodist Church with inurnment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Reverend Bill Bagwell and Reverend Chris Borders will officiate.
