Demetria Hawkins, 48, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

Demetria was born on December 27, 1977, in Macon, Georgia.

She was a loving and hardworking woman who found her greatest joy in being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Known for her open heart and open door, Demetria was always there for anyone in need. She was the best daughter, mother, and grandmother, and her love for her family knew no bounds.

Demetria loved to laugh, watch movies, and cook, creating warm memories that will be cherished forever by those who knew her. Her kindness, strength, and joyful spirit left a lasting impression on all who were blessed to be part of her life.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Christopher Hawkins, Jason Hawkins, Thomas Hawkins and David Hawkins, Jr., her siblings, James Eraley, Travious Glover, Charlandria Addison, Drusilla Harrell, Hilton Glover and Bernard Thomas Austin, nieces and nephews, Victoria Camp, Tianna Camp, Derrick Camp, Shaniah Johnson, Rylee Camp, Kym’ani Johnson, Symir Johnson, her ex-husband David Hawkins, Sr., along with a host of extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Demetria will be laid to rest in Middle Georgia Memorial Gardens.
