Bonaire – Dennard Maddox, 68, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2004 in the Medical Center of Central GA. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, at Southside Baptist Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery, Warner Robins. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Houston County Division, 134 Cherren Dale Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088 and the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1544, Warner Robins, GA 31099-1544
Mr. Maddox was born in Bleckley County, Georgia. He was a retired Civil Service employee of Robins Air Force Base and a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Maddox was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He volunteered with the Warner Robins Recreation Department as a Little League coach, and was also a member of the Robins Air Force Base softball team. Mr. Maddox served as a board member of the Warner Robins High School Touchdown Club. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, George Robert and Tommie Lee Maddox.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Maddox, Bonaire; son, Denny Maddox (Tonya), Warner Robins; daughter, Melissa Lowry (Jason), Cumming, GA; brothers, T. J. Maddox, Macon, GA; and Clint Maddox, Warner Robins, GA.; grandchildren, Sarah Kate and Jack Lowry of Cumming; Jake and Maggie Maddox of Warner Robins; several nieces and nephews.
