Dianelita "Jean" Mizell

Dianelita “Jean” Mizell passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of March 11, 2023. She was surrounded with love by family, friends, and neighbors who she cherished throughout her life.

Jean was the devoted wife of Retired TSgt Aaron Mizell Jr, loving mother of Allan, Jaffe, Daryl, and Jeanelee, and beloved grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of 2.

She has been part of the Middle Georgia community and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church since 1963. She was a central member of the Filipino American Association and owner of Pearl of the Orient restaurant from 1977 to 1995 - an important gathering place at the time for the local Filipino community who celebrated countless birthdays, holidays, and weddings there. She was born in Sorsogon, Sorsogon, and met and married Aaron at Clark AFB, Pampanga in the Philippines. She moved several times between California and Georgia as a dedicated military wife.

Jean will forever be remembered for her one-of-a-kind style, her playful, joyful soul, her unmatched cooking, and most importantly, the overflowing way she loved, nurtured, mothered, and made memories with all who knew her.

She will live on in the memories of those who loved her.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at McCullough Funeral Home in Warner Robins, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a care package to thank the Warner Robins Dialysis Center, LLC who diligently cared for and nursed Jean with love and kindness in the last years of her life.
