Donna Branton Bryant

July 11, 1947 — May 21, 2025

Byron

Donna Branton Bryant, 77, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 21, 2025.

Donna was born on July 11, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Helen Fordham Branton and William Quinton Branton. She graduated from Margaret McAvoy High School for Girls in 1965 and pursued higher education at Crandall College and Macon State College, where she earned her associate degree. Donna went on to build a meaningful and successful career as a dedicated customer service representative at Geico, where she worked faithfully until her retirement.

From an early age, Donna had a deep love for music. She took piano lessons as a child and delighted in singing throughout her life. One memorable moment came in the seventh grade when she and her dear friends, Terry Simpson and Mary Fort, performed a three-part harmony so beautifully that they were invited to sing on television.

Her friendship with Mary was full of cherished memories, including one from elementary school when the two adventurously rode the MTA bus to downtown Macon. There, they enjoyed a movie, shared a Krystal hamburger, and explored Woolworth’s — a snapshot of simpler, joy-filled times.

A longtime member of Second Street Methodist Church, Donna lived her life grounded in faith and community. She was also a devoted pet parent to her beloved Bichon Frise, Zara, with whom she shared over 13 loving years — growing older side by side.

Donna had a natural green thumb and found great joy in gardening. Her vibrant yard was a reflection of her spirit.

She will be remembered for her fiery spirit, bold personality, and open heart. A true social butterfly, Donna lit up every room she entered and made everyone feel like an old friend. Her warmth, laughter, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her grandson, Jackson Bryant.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Cam Bryant (Kimberly) of Macon, Georgia and Kevin Bryant (Jill) of League City, Texas; grandchildren, Lindsey Ralston (Russell), and Hannah Berreth (Timmy); and great-grandchildren, Audrey Ralston, Liam Ralston, and Sutton Berreth, along with many other loving family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at The Farmhouse at McCullough Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Donna Bryant to The American Cancer Society at 270 Peachtree Street NW, Suite 1300, Atlanta, GA 30303.
