Doreen Janel Grous

Doreen Janel Grous, 70, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013.

Doreen was born in Smolan, Kansas on August 30, 1942. She was married to Edward Leon Grous for thirty two years until his death on April 10, 1994. Doreen was a wonderful homemaker and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Inez Whitaker, brothers, John Gerald and George, sisters, Doris Gingery, Charlene Fuller, and Julie Ester Whitaker.

She is survived by her children, Julie Pruett (Kevin), Winston Salem, North Carolina; Marty Grous, Warner Robins; Connie Lowe, Perry; sisters, Emma Jean Wentworth (Harold), Massachusetts; Karen Foley (Fred), Marvel Jane Hargus; brother, Scott, all of Kansas; six grandchildren, Misty Miecznikowski (Peter), Lacie Mattox (Nicholas), Christopher Pruett, Eric Pruett, Amber Jarriel, Harly Grous, and great grandchild, Amelia Miecznikowski.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening, April 10, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2013 in Andersonville National Cemetery.
