Doris Evelyn Coaker Mathis

Early on the morning of Tuesday, November 23, 2021, Doris Evelyn Coaker Mathis, 93, entered into rest at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, George Paul Mathis, Sr.; sons, George Paul Mathis, Jr., and Mark Edward Mathis; and daughter-in-law, Kay Graham Mathis.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Heather Mathis May (Justin) and George Paul Mathis III; great-grandchild, Anderson Mathis May; and former daughter-in-law, Nancy Mathis Pearson (Buck).

Doris will be laid to rest at a graveside funeral service on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
