Dorothy "Dottie" Alice Walker

Dorothy "Dottie" Walker, 88, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014. Mrs. Walker resided at The Church Home for the Aged in Perry, Georgia where she received wonderful care and love. Burial services will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. She will at last be reunited with her beloved late husband, Robert Lee Walker. In addition to her loving husband and parents, her sister, Evelyn Armstrong Millican of Paducah, Kentucky also preceded her in death.

Dottie was born on August 1, 1925 in Spindale, North Carolina to the late John and Blanch Armstrong. She lived in Landover Hills, Maryland and Macon, Georgia. She worked at Geico where she retired after thirty years of faithful and dedicated service. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Robin Walker Ayres, Bradenton, Florida; David Walker (Susan), Kathleen; brother, John D. Armstrong (Elaine), Paducah, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Melissa Ayres Riegel (Nick), Bradenton, Florida; Travis Walker, Warner Robins; Emily Walker, Kathleen; and two great grandchildren, Jake and Nate Riegal, Bradenton, Florida.
