Dorothy Virginia Edenfield (Henry) passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, in West Monroe, Louisiana, at the age of 91. A true Southern belle with a spirit as vibrant as the magnolias she cherished, Dorothy left an indelible mark on all who knew her, embodying grace, warmth, and boundless kindness.

Born in West Monroe to Reba and Webster Henry, Dorothy earned her bachelor’s degree from Northeastern Louisiana University (NLU). She began her career as a secretary before embarking on a remarkable journey as the devoted wife of decorated Air Force Colonel William Edenfield, traveling the world from Europe to Asia. Though her adventures spanned the globe, her heart remained rooted in the South, where her unique, one-of-a-kind beauty shone brightest.

Dorothy is lovingly survived by her devoted nephews, Nick and Nate Henry. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Reba and Webster Henry; her brother, Dan Henry; and her husband, William Edenfield.

Never one to meet a stranger, Dorothy extended help to anyone in need, her generosity as endless as her smile. Her life was a testament to compassion and resilience, touching countless souls with her gentle wisdom and infectious spirit.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Connie Johnson, Melanie Hendricks, and the compassionate team at Hospice Compassus for honoring Dorothy’s dignity until her final moments.
