Eddie McDuffie

On the afternoon of Tuesday, January 30, 2024, Eddie McDuffie, 83, entered into eternal rest.  

Eddie was born on February 18, 1940, in Milan, Georgia, to the late Morgan McDuffie and Christine Greggory McDuffie.  Eddie came to Warner Robins when he was just 7 years old and stayed until the Lord called him home. He has been a valued member of the Houston County for over 75 years.  He loved Houston County, Warner Robins, Perry, and every other city he ever went to in Georgia.  Eddie never met a stranger, loved people, and was always open to helping anyone when he could. He started work as a bag boy in a grocery store as a teenager.  Later he found his passion – construction.  He served our community and cities in Georgia through McDuffie Construction for over 50 years. During this time, he began purchasing and creating McDuffie Properties, which became another passion – because he got to meet more people.    

Besides his parents, Eddie is preceded in death by brother Carrell McDuffie, sisters Janelle Mathews and Loraine McKinney.  He is survived by his daughters Phyllis McDuffie and Gwendolyn (Bill) Bauer, his niece Beverly (Robert) Corn and nephew, James McKinney, along with several great nieces and nephews. His memory will always be cherished by his many friends and family.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.  A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
