Eddie Jarrel Walker, 82, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

Eddie was born on November 12, 1943, to the late Elmo and Ruby Walker in Buford, Georgia, and was raised in Warner Robins, Georgia. Growing up, Eddie played Little League Baseball under Coach Claude Lewis and joined the Warner Robins High School Follies, where he enjoyed playing Fats Domino. He went on to graduate from Warner Robins High School.

Eddie married the love of his life, Carol Sue Kendrick Walker, shortly after school. Following a brief stay in Florida, the couple returned to Warner Robins to raise their family. Eddie was a dedicated and loving father, investing heavily in his children and coaching their sports teams. During this time, Eddie began his career at Robins Air Force Base, where he would serve for 33 years with the Defense Logistics Agency as a Quality Assurance Specialist. Eddie was also an instrumental member of his community, beginning with his service with the Houston County Planning Commission over 30 years. At the time of his passing, Eddie was still serving on the Board of Zoning and Appeals.

Eddie was a member of the the Tyrian #111 Masonic Lodge. In 2024, Eddie was recognized for his longtime participation through the receipt of his fifty-year pin, a rare honor. He was also a dedicated member of the Al Sihah Shriners for 50 years and served as a Director from 1977 to 1978.

In his spare time, Eddie loved fishing and gambling. He enjoyed frequent trips to Biloxi, Mississippi to all the casinos. When he became unable to travel to Biloxi, he found his new hotspot a little closer to home at the Discount Mart on Moody Road, where he was a regular fixture at the store lottery area trying his luck. He befriended all the regulars of the store, as well as his favorite clerk, Manish.

Eddie was a kind soul, never meeting a stranger and always ready to help anyone in need. He had a servant’s heart and he was generous with his time and his knowledge. He displayed qualities that were admired by those that loved and knew him.

Eddie leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and devotion that will continue to be cherished by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his brothers, Jackie and Joe Walker.
