Edith T. Cox, 78, entered into rest on Thursday, September 3, 2009.
Mrs. Cox was born on August 6, 1931, in Kershaw County, South Carolina. She was a Registered Nurse at Houston Medical Center and Perry Hospital. She called First Baptist Church of Kathleen her church home. Her parents, John Amos Thorne and Ruth Welch Thorne, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, William "Bill" J. Cox; son, William "Bill" Cox II; grandson, William "Billy" Cox III, all of Kathleen; sister, Betty Adams, Panama City Beach, Florida; brother, John M. Thorne, Ocala, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 5, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, 2009, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Pastor Phillip Lehman officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to First Baptist Church of Kathleen-Building Fund, 101 Bear Branch Road, Kathleen Georgia 31047.
