Edna "Bea" Jones

Edna “Bea” Jones, 83, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2004 at Houston Medical Center. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 28, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, November 27, from 6 until 8 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jones was born in Dawson County, GA. She attended Kathleen Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Her parents, Herschel Vernon and Minnie Rose Grant; daughter, Betty Jean (Jones) Staples; sisters, Broncille Hood and Gaynelle Lonergan preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Arthur Jones, Kathleen; sons, James (Lucy) Jones, Yulee, FL and Wayne Jones, Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Gerri (Robert) Nau, Kathleen, GA; brother, V.W. Grant, Harlem, GA; sisters, Margie Doolittle, Clearwater, SC and Dorothy Coley, Waverly, VA; ten grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
