Edward "Eddie" Charles Henning, Jr.

October 10, 1967 — October 20, 2025

Warner Robins

Edward “Eddie” Charles Henning, Jr., born on October 10, 1967, in Milford, Connecticut, passed away on October 20, 2025.

After graduating from high school, Eddie proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served his country with honor and dedication. He was stationed at Robins Air Force Base and served a tour during Desert Shield, spending several months in Saudi Arabia. His time in the Air Force instilled in him a deep sense of discipline, loyalty, and service that carried through the rest of his life.

Following his military service, Eddie worked for Security Systems Management before pursuing his dream of owning his own business. In 1998, he founded Mr. Security, which he successfully operated for 25 years before selling the business. He was currently working with the Houston County Public Library.

Outside of his professional life, Eddie enjoyed many passions that brought him joy and connection. He loved gardening and found peace in nurturing his plants. Music was another great love—especially attending concerts and sharing those experiences with friends. He was also an excellent cook who enjoyed preparing meals for those he cared about. Eddie valued friendship and fellowship deeply and was known for his easy laugh and warm presence.

A devoted member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Eddie’s faith and kindness guided his life.

Eddie will be remembered for his service, his generosity, and his love of life. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Edward Henning, Sr. and his stepfather, John Longo.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of thirty-four years, Dixie Henning of Warner Robins; son, Edward Charles Henning, III of Warner Robins; granddaughter, Ellie Grace Henning; mother, Sylvia Longo; sisters, Dawn Finlayson of Connecticut and Heather Henning of Connecticut; stepmother, Joni Henning; and other extended loving family.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025, at All Saints Episcopal Church. Eddie will be laid to rest with military honors in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. Following the burial, a reception will be held at the church.
