Edwin M. Styke

Edwin M. Styke, 64, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 29, 2008.

Mr. Styke was born on July 10, 1944 in Lancaster, South Carolina. With pride and honor, he served his country in the U. S. Air Force, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. A Braves fan, he delighted in attending home games with his daughter. He was an avid fan of University of Tennessee football, loved to hunt, golf and spend time "down at the country" with his best friends. He was predeceased by, his parents, Charles Fulton Stykes and Myrtle Sims Stykes, sister, Joyce Lynn Stykes and brothers, John and Bill Stykes.

His memory will forever be treasured by his daughter, Katie Styke and fiancé John Cooper; sisters, Mary Charles Carson, Morristown, Tennessee, Margie Helton, Morristown, Tennessee, Alyce Moor (Tunney), Newport, Tennessee, Doris Ball, Newport, Tennessee, and Jane Smith (Wayne), Cleveland, Tennessee; brother, Keith Stykes (Charlotte), Marietta; numerous nieces and nephews; best friend Royce Morgan and many other friends.

Visitation will be Friday, August 1, 2008 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2008 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
