Elbert ''Ron'' Beard

Elbert ''Ron'' Beard died Friday, January 04 at Medical Center of Central Georgia. Services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, January 7 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mr. Beard was born in Buford, GA. He was a Parts Manager at Hendricks Diesel Repair. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and retired from the United States Navy with 22 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion. His father, Roy E. Beard, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Marie L. Beard; mother, Florence Beard, Douglasville; daughters, Denice Morgan, Fort Valley; Becky Beard, Warner Robins; sons, Keith Beard, Macon; Tim Beard, Bonaire; Jerry Beard, Dusun, LA; brothers, Gerald Beard, Kennesaw, GA; Rev. Neil Beard, Douglasville; Ted Beard, Nashville, TN; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
