Emma Lou Noles Martin, 88, passed into the hands of her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 16, 2023. She was the wife of the late George W. Martin and daughter of the late Dock and Sara Lou Miller Noles, born on August 20, 1934 in Dodge County, GA, where she grew up.
Dedicated to her role as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, Emma was the heart of the Martin family. She took joy in seeing that each member of the family was taken care of, right down to being fed; Emma was a great cook. She loved spending time with her family any chance she had and looked forward to keeping her grandchildren regularly. In her free time, you could find Emma sewing and crocheting or piddling in the yard as she gardened the plants and flowers she admired.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving son, Michael “Mike” Martin (Cindy) of Woodbury, GA; grandsons, Brandon Martin (Stephanie) and Anthony Martin; great-grandchildren, Ashlynn Lifesy (Jon), Hunter Martin and Hudson Martin; great-great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Lifesy and Braylen Martin; sisters, Elsie Mullins of Mesquite, TX and Ann Bowen of Warner Robins; daughter-in-law, Gina Harn of Warner Robins; and numerous adoring nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Martin; her granddaughter, Tracey Leigh Martin; and her brothers, Harvey and James Noles.
Emma’s family will receive friends on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Emma will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery following the service.
