Ethel Louise Byrd Fincher, 94, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2003 in her home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, in Turners Chapel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Butler. Visitation will also be Thursday from 2 until 4 p.m. at the Tucker residence, 112 Huntington Way, Centerville. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Houston County, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Born in Rome, Georgia, Mrs. Fincher was the daughter of the late John William and Velda Jane Byrd and the widow of James David Fincher. She was a member of Turners Chapel Freewill Baptist in Butler. In addition to her husband and parents, three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughters, Jerry Tucker, Centerville, Joyce Robinson (James), Warner Robins, and Peggy Chandler (Phil), Rome, GA, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren
