Eugene Arthur Davis was born on September 1, 1938, in Pennsylvania to the late Raymond and Bernice Tillinghast Davis. He was raised on a farm in Lawrenceville, Pennsylvania, where he learned the value of hard work at an early age, helping with daily chores such as milking cows. He graduated from Williamson High School, where he met the love of his life, Dale Virginia Harrison. The two were married for 63 years before her passing in 2022.

In 1971, Eugene left his foundry job in Pennsylvania and moved his family to Warner Robins, Georgia. He dedicated many years of service to Robins Air Force Base, where he worked as a sheet-metal mechanic until his retirement at the age of 62. Following retirement, Eugene and Virginia embraced life on the road, traveling throughout the United States in their motor home while visiting family and enjoying new adventures and sharing their love of square dancing. In 2016, they settled in Ormond Beach, Florida, before returning to Warner Robins in 2022.

Eugene was a fierce competitor who loved bowling, pool, and horseshoes, earning many medals and trophies over the years. He approached every game with determination and the goal of being the champion.

He also had a deep love for animals and formed special bonds with the wildlife at the parks near his home in Ormond Beach. During his daily walks, Eugene could often be found feeding his favorite ducks, turtles, and pigeons. Eugene leaves behind a legacy of hard work, devotion to family, and a life well lived. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dale Virginia Davis; parents and siblings, Carolyn Tomlinson, Lorraine Satterlee, Kenneth Davis and Richard Davis.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Laurie Davis, Glenda Verhine (Tommy) and Anita Gore (Steve); grandchildren, Blake Collins, Shelly Danforth (Justin), Stacey Russell (Heath), John Westley Tanner (Asako), Nathan Tanner, Dylan Trail and Daniel Hurt; sister, Crystal Young (Blair) and brother, Gregory Harrison (Angie) and several loving great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
