Evelyn M. Tatroe Ahlvin

Evelyn M. Tatroe Ahlvin, 82, died Wednesday, January 8, 2003. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, at McCullough Funeral Home. Visitation in Joliet, Illinois, will be from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 13, at Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home. Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, in the Chapel of Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, Joliet, with interment following in Elmhurst Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Georgia Chapter, 277 Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd, Suite 201, Macon, GA 31201-3498.

Born in Faibault, Minnesota, Mrs. Ahlvin was a homemaker. In Joliet, she was a member of the Seniors League at Town and Country Bowling Lanes, the Ladies Elk Auxiliary #296, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 367. Her husband, George Ahlvin; parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Tatroe; and brother, George Tatroe, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, John Ahlvin, Byron; brothers, Bob Tatroe, New Lenox, IL, and Herb Tatroe, Rockdale, IL; granddaughter, Debbie Langston, Perry; grandson, John Ahlvin, Jr., Byron; and great-grandson, Cal Langston, Perry.
