Evelyn Raper King

Evelyn Raper King, 80, entered into rest on Sunday, December 2, 2012.

Evelyn was born on June 14, 1932 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Retired from Cobb General Hospital, she enjoyed gardening and was a Pink Lady at Perry Hospital. She also attended Forest Hills United Methodist Church in Macon, Georgia. Evelyn was preceded in death by her son, Johnny King; parents, Johnnie Raper and Octavia Stancil Raper; and siblings, Eunice Newton and L.B. Raper, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, James King, Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Faye Hall Sawyer (Greg), Buford, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Donna Walker King, Macon, Georgia; siblings, J.T. Raper, Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Kenneth T. Raper (Linda), Greensboro, North Carolina, and Edna Lee Powell, Hollister, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Helen Raper, Rocky Mount, North Carolina; grandchildren, Chris King, Jennifer Knight, Nicholas Hall, Blair Hall Howard, James Hall, Bryan King, and Michelle King; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hill United Methodist Church in Macon with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Rocky Mount Memorial Park, Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
