Florence Emmett Vinson

Florence Emmett Vinson, 67, passed away on Sunday, February 29, 2004 in her home. Services will be held at 2:00 on Tuesday, March 2, at Victory Baptist Church with interment following in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, March 1 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Family may be contacted at 430 Peach Road, Byron, GA 31008. Mrs. Vinson was born in Ideal, GA. She was an active member of Victory Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and was an AWANA worker. Her husband, John W. Vinson; and parents, James W. and Maebelle Turner Emmett preceded her in death.

Survivors include son, Tommy Herndon and wife, Mary of Byron; son, Wilbur Herndon and wife, Beth of Byron; brother, Robert Emmett, Byron; stepson, Bruce Vinson, Macon; stepson, Wesley Vinson, Warner Robins; stepdaughter, Charlotte Spratlin, Warner Robins; stepdaughter, Martha Vinson, Warner Robins; stepdaughter, Mary Vinson, Warner Robins; grandsons, Ray Herndon; Dustin Herndon; Wil Herndon; granddaughters, Kathy Harbin; Jennifer Goodman; Haley Herndon; great-grandson, Devan Goodman, numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
