Florence Skye

Florence Skye, 91, entered into rest on Saturday, January 28, 2023.

Florence was born on December 26, 1931, in Sayreville, New Jersey to the late Antoni and Mary Malinowski. Florence was fluent in both Polish and English. Using this gift, she taught Polish High Schoolers English colloquialisms in Poland. Florence could best be described as a real character. She was outgoing and energetic. She loved ballroom dancing, which is how she met her husband, Frank. Florence was always a welcoming host; she made sure food and drinks were supplied to anyone in her care. She enjoyed volunteering and served both the community and the Sacred Heart School in her free time. She was an outdoorsy person who enjoyed gardening and raising baby goats.

Along with her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her siblings, Mary Stelmaczek, Jennie Malinowski, and Violet Lasko; Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughter, Debra Murray (John) of Bonaire, Georgia; grandson, Noel Murray of Bonaire, Georgia; and nieces and nephews, Amy Ust, Jay Lasko, Tim Lasko and Bill Skye, all of New Jersey.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 1, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. on February 1, 2023, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Florence will be laid to rest in Bonaire Cemetery.
