Frances "Fran" Evelyn Roane

August 6, 1950 — August 26, 2023

Frances “Fran” Evelyn Roane, 73, of Warner Robins, Georgia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 26, 2023, peacefully in her home following a long illness.

She was born on August 6, 1950, in Madison, West Virginia, to the late Ralph Q. Miller and Garnet H. Miller. In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Ann McClure and Beverly Kay Walter, and her brother, Charles Ray Miller. She met the love of her life and husband of almost fifty-three years while in nurse training in Goldsboro, North Carolina. They married and raised two daughters during their marriage.

Fran’s life was a testament to love, family, and faith. She enjoyed cooking for her family, friends, and church community. Everyone sought after and quickly devoured her dishes, whether it was an entrée or dessert. She enjoyed making and decorating cakes for all occasions, as shown through her extensive collection of unique cake pans. Fran found her true blessings in spending time with her five grandchildren, whom she treasured more than anything. She loved baking and decorating their birthday cakes and making their additional requested desserts. She had a soft spot for animals, especially her late dog, “Mysti”, for whom she would prepare special food to add to her meals. Her unwavering faith was a guiding light within Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she served as an Elder, the Church secretary for over four years, and a member of the church choir, Nurture Committee, and Mission and Stewardship Committee until her illness prevented her from doing so.

Fran’s memory will be forever cherished by her husband, Mack Roane of Warner Robins, GA; daughters, Stacie Dudgeon (Jim) of Woodstock, GA, Maica Echols (Scott) of Bonaire, GA; five grandchildren, Emilie and Jimmy Dudgeon of Woodstock, GA and Daniel, Isabele, and Sydney Echols of Bonaire, GA; and sister, Nona Jane Andrews of Goldsboro, NC.

Visitation with Fran’s family will be Friday, September 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. with the memorial service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 303 Mary Lane, Warner Robins, Georgia, 31088. A luncheon will follow in the church’s fellowship hall after the service.
