Frances Johnson Martin

Frances Johnson Martin, 82, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026.

Born on February 10, 1944, in Colquitt, Georgia, Frances was the daughter of the late Harry Otis Johnson and Ozie Gay Johnson. She dedicated many years of faithful service as a finance technician at Robins Air Force Base before her retirement. Frances also worked as a patient service representative at Houston Medical Center until her final retirement.

Frances was known for her fun and loving spirit, and she truly never met a stranger. A devoted Christian since her teenage years, Frances was baptized at the age of 14 and remained steadfast in her faith throughout her life. She was a longtime member of Sandy Valley Baptist Church, where she cherished her church family and faithfully supported charitable causes. Her life was a reflection of her deep love for God and her commitment to serving others.

Frances also found joy in the simple blessings of life. She loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and had a special affection for cats, caring for many over the years.

She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and compassion that will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her siblings, Geraldine Johnson, Eleen Fincher, Donald Johnson, James T. Johnson, and Suamone Johnson.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her siblings, Vonn Johnson (Mary) of Jacksonville, Florida, and Wendell Johnson (Diane) of Lake City, Florida; sister-in-law, Penny Johnson; as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, March 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Sandy Valley Baptist Church, with a funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. Frances Johnson Martin

will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery, Colquitt, Georgia, at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
