Mrs. Frances Milford Davis, 87, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013 in the comfort of her home. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, at Central Baptist Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening, March 26 at McCullough Funeral Home. Friends and family are welcome to visit.
Born January 7, 1926 in Montezuma, Georgia to the late Bonard A. and Helen Ava Milford, Frances spent her life in Macon County, graduating from Montezuma High School. She married Ozie W. Davis, Jr., on December 21, 1945 upon his return from serving his country during WWII. She worked several jobs as bookkeeper for various establishments, farm organizations and upon moving to Warner Robins she finished her career working at the Doctor's Clinic for Dr.'s Talbert, Carter, and McEver. She loved her family so much but her pride was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Davis was a member of Central Baptist Church and the Joyner Bible Class. She was an active member of the church's Welcome Team. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ozie W. Davis, Jr., her two sisters, Helen Hilton, and Christine English, and brother, Edward Milford. .
She is survived by her three sons, Ozie M. (Judy) Davis, Warner Robins; James A. (Rosemary) Davis, Milledgeville; Randall E. (Donna) Davis, Warner Robins; four grandchildren, Randall Davis, Jr. (Kacie), Las Vegas, Nevada; Jennifer Bramblett, Denise Davis, and Bobby Davis, all of Warner Robins; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial Donations may be made to Central Baptist Church, Upward and Onward Building Fund, 1120 Lake Joy Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
