Lt. Col. Frank Edwin Huff, USAF (Ret.), 94, entered peacefully into rest on Friday, April 24, 2026. Born on December 25, 1931, Frank was the son of the late William Herschel Huff and Bonnie Black Huff. He grew up on his family farm in Madison, Georgia with his 6 siblings. He later went on to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business from the University Of Georgia where he was a member of the Air Force ROTC. A proud veteran of the Vietnam War, he honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for 21 years. It was at Moody Air Force Base where he met the love of his life, Sarah Virginia Huff. The couple married on June 26, 1966, at Antioch United Methodist Church and shared 59 devoted years together.
Frank retired from the United States Air Force with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Following his military retirement, he owned Trans Parts of Macon alongside his sons. After many successful years in business, Frank retired for a second and final time after owning and running his auto parts business for 40 years. Frank will be remembered for his steadfast commitment to his family, his country, and his community. Frank was a dedicated member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Warner Robins, Georgia where he attended many bible studies and volunteered at the food bank. Frank was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and his favorite times were spent in the presence of friends and family.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his siblings, William Herschel Huff, Jr.,Henry Terrell Huff, Roy Barnet Huff, Mary Louise Huff Mack, Carolyn Huff Gilmore, and Bonnie Alvin Huff.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Sarah Virginia Huff; sons, Frank Edwin Huff Jr and Derek Ray Huff (Jackie); grandchildren, Sophia Jane Croxford Huff, Anna Ray Huff, and Charlize Earhart; a host of nieces and nephews; as well as many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorial donations to be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 129 S. Houston Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
Visitation will be Friday, May 8, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Lt. Col. Frank E. Huff, USAF (Ret.) will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
