Frank Robert Carlson, Jr.

Frank Robert Carlson, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 31, 2016.

Frank was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan to the late Frank Carlson, Sr. and Merele Olson Carlson. A proud Navy Veteran, he retired after 42 dedicated years of Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Mr. Carlson built his life around his family and his deep love, strength and integrity will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his brother, William Carlson, and his sister, Jo Carlson.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 59 years, Montine Carlson of Warner Robins; children, Allyn Carlson (Gail) of Warner Robins and Lisa Heard (Greg) of Cumming; grandchildren, James Carlson (Brena), Jessica Rush (Chad), and Lindsay and Matthew Heard; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Lee Carlson; and many adoring nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Following the service, Frank will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
