Frank Christopher Smith

Frank Christopher Smith, 64, of Bonaire passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025. 

Frank was born in Queens, New York on June 13, 1961, the eldest of three children, to the late Francis and Carol Smith. He grew up in Centereach, Long Island, where he made many friends and became an Eagle Scout while attending Centereach High School. In 1978, the family relocated to central Florida, where Frank quickly adjusted to the life of sunshine, surfing and skateboarding. 

Frank spent much of his adult life in Georgia, where he met and married Wyn Smith, his beloved wife of 21 incredibly happy years. A man of many talents, he worked a variety of construction jobs including framing, welding, and landscaping, and he was particularly masterful with a saw. His interests included painting, woodworking, tattooing, and music. His friends fondly remember him introducing them to many new musical artists. A passion he shared with his son Jason was racing cars. He will be remembered as a hardworking man with an enormous heart who would do anything for his friends and family. 

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Carol Ann Smith and Francis Campbell Smith. He is survived by his wife Wyn Smith; children, Jason Howell (Michele), Nicholas Howell (Shawna), Austyn Smith, Jonathan Miller (Kaiti) and Teja Miller; grandchildren, Sebastian Humphries, Victoria Lyn, Bubba, Alice Whitehart, Savanah Howell, Jacob Howell, Caitlyn Wilson, Christopher Morrow, Christian Millis, Nicholas Howell, Jr. Gage Howell, Jr. and Nathan Howell; great grandchildren, Charlie Marie, Caden Howell, Casper Howell, and Anthony Morrow; sister, Eileen Driskill and brother, Stephen Smith (Martha); father-in-law, John Wayne Hadden and a host of extended family.

A memorial service celebrating Frank’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation beginning one hour prior. At the family’s request burial will be private.
