Fred Hardy Hollar, 76, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 15, 2014.
Mr. Hollar was born on January 26, 1937 in Woodruff, South Carolina to the late Grady and Lottie Hollar. He retired from the United States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam era and dedicating twenty years of service to his country. Subsequent to his military retirement, he retired from Robins Air Force Base where he worked in Acquisitions for twenty years. Fred coached Little League football and baseball. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed playing golf and reading. In addition to his parents, his daughter, Nyckie Hollar Brock; son, Brandon Todd Hollar; and grandson, Paul Ashley Brock, all, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Frances Faye Hollar, Centerville; son-in-law, Randy Brock, Villa Rica; grandson, Shea Brock (Brittany), Richmond Hill; and great granddaughter, Ava Elizabeth Brock.
Visitation will be Friday, January 17, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2014 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment with full military honors will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 152 N. Crest Blvd. # C, Macon, Georgia 31210 or to the American Diabetes's Association – Georgia Affiliate, One Corporate Square, Atlanta, Georgia 30329.
