Fred Phillip Bieber, Jr.

August 18, 1943 — April 2, 2023

Fred Phillip Bieber, Jr, of Warner Robins, GA, passed away on Sunday, April 2nd of 2023, after an extended period of illness. Known as Freddy to his loved ones, he is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Yvonne Marie Sanderlin Bieber, his youngest daughter, Sarah Anne Middlebrooks, and his granddaughters, April Marie Heath and Natalie Anne Heath. He is also survived by his sister, Darlene Layson, brother, Danny Adams, 6 nieces and nephews, and 7 great-nieces and nephews, as well as other extended family.


Freddy was born in Macon, GA on August 18th, 1943. A Vietnam War era veteran who served 4 years in the United States Air Force, he continued to serve his country as a civil servant, working 45 years in the Electronics Division at Robins Air Force Base, and another 10 years as a consultant in the same role. Freddy was a man of many hobbies, but particularly loved photography, woodworking, and leatherworking. He met his beloved wife, Yvonne, at a public library where she worked, and their love and attraction grew and bloomed over 53 wonderful years. Freddy was a faithful member of Memorial Heights Baptist Church in Perry.


Freddy was preceded in death by his father, Fred Phillip Bieber, Sr.; his mother, Minnie Ruth Bieber; his sister, Donna Middlebrooks; his brothers, Devereaux Bieber and Stan Bieber; his oldest daughter, Ruth Marie Koske; and his uncle and aunt who raised him, Grayson Texas and Louise Meaders Adams.


A memorial gathering will take place on Friday, April 7, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon at McCullough Funeral Home in Warner Robins. A memorial service celebrating Freddy’s life will immediately follow at 12 noon in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Pastor Lewis Kiger officiating.


The family asks that live plants or donations to the American Cancer Society be made in lieu of flowers or other gifts.
