Freddie Joe Godbee, 74, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2007. Mr. Godbee was born on November 17, 1932, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was an Army veteran who served during the Korean conflict. He retired from Robins Air Force base as a sheet metal mechanic.
His parents, William Godbee and Mary C. Godbee, brothers, Thurston Godbee, T.L. (Doc) Godbee, and sister, Verna G. Wood preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Estelle Godbee, Warner Robins; son Randy Godbee (Sandy), Kathleen; daughter, Valerie Walker (Tony), Perry; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild; sister, Morine G. Dean, Mobile, AL.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 5, 2007, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held Friday, July 6, 2007. Donations may be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
