Gary Dave Gordon, 87, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on December 7, 2024, in Warner Robins, Georgia.

Gary was the son of David Gordon and Beaulah English, and is survived by his two loving sisters, Gladys and Davienne. He was married to his devoted wife, Earlene Gordon, for an incredible 62 years.

Together, Gary and Earlene had four beautiful daughters: Melchorre DeGraeve, Teresa Gordon, Cindy Otte, and Patricia Floyd, who preceded him in death. Gary is also survived by his devoted brothers-in-law, Victor Cross and Leroy Cross, and his sons-in-law, Kenneth Floyd, Bob DeGraeve, and Jeffrey Otte.

Gary's legacy lives on through his numerous grandchildren, including Teresa Cambiano, Scarlett Hickle and her husband Charles, Christopher Floyd, Jessica McCrary and her husband Harold, Matthew Floyd, Rebecca Floyd and her husband Courtney Mast, Trey King and his wife Heather, Kevin King, Joselyn Byrns and her husband Dave, Elizabeth Pflieger, Taylor Otte, Cassandra Mata and her husband Nathan, Eric Otte, and Michael Otte. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Gary proudly served in the Army National Guard for 6 years and retired as an aircraft mechanic from Robins Air Force Base after 33 years of dedicated service.

In his free time, Gary enjoyed collecting sea shells and hunting for arrowheads with his grandchildren and close friends. He was renowned for having the largest and most complete sea shell collection in the southeast and was one of the founders of the Georgia State Shell Club. Gary's passion for shells led to the establishment of the Georgia Conch as the official Georgia state shell.

Gary will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather who built lasting memories with his family and friends. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the memories he created.

Rest in Peace, Gary Dave Gordon.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Gary will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
