Gary Thiel, 72, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017.
Gary was born on January 1, 1945 in Buffalo, New York to the late Howard and Vernell Thiel. Following high school, he proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. and continued his military service with the Georgia National Guard. Gary worked for Alltel for many years before retiring as an install repair technician.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Alona Thiel; daughters, Julie and Marnell Thiel, all of Perry; grandchildren, Erica M. Moore, Julissa Green, Shammond Thiel; 7 great-grandchildren, and brother, Dan Thiel.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial services will immediately follow in the Chapel of McCullough with military honors.
