Gary Woodrow Jones

Gary Woodrow Jones, 64, entered into rest on Monday, October 6, 2008.

Mr. Jones was born on January 24, 1944, in Rome, Georgia. With pride and honor he served his country in the U.S. Navy. Later he worked at Peerless Textiles in Thomaston and then at Robins Air Force Base in civil service for thirty-four years as a Supply Technician before retiring. He loved to go fishing and hunting. His parents, Albert Woodrow Jones and Zethel Rosebud Burkhalter Jones, and sister, Judith Fay Morris, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of forty-four years, Brenda White Jones; daughter, Cindy (Doyle) Daniels, Hawkinsville; son, Ricky Jones, Hawkinsville; sisters, Janice (Lowell) Register, Lizella, and Joyce (James) Morgan, Warner Robins; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 8, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Jimmy Harrison and Reverend Robert E. Varnadore officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
