Gene C. Daub entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

Gene was born on January 15, 1941, in Myerstown, Pennsylvania, to the late Nester and Beulah Daub. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force until his retirement. Following his military career, Gene continued his passion for aviation, working in aircraft maintenance for Zantop International Airlines. He later shared his knowledge and experience with the next generation of aviation professionals as an aircraft maintenance instructor at Middle Georgia Technical College.

Gene had a servant's heart and generously gave his time volunteering at the Museum of Aviation at Robins Air Force Base and with Meals on Wheels. Dependable, hardworking, and honest, he was truly the salt of the earth. He was a good man whose generosity knew few limits and who could always be counted on when someone needed a helping hand. Although Gene could be quiet and reserved, he possessed a wealth of wisdom that he willingly shared with those around him.

Above all, Gene was a devoted family man, a role he cherished even more deeply in his later years. His love for his family was evident in the time he spent with them and the example he set through his actions. A man of Christian faith, Gene was a faithful witness to his grandchildren, sharing his beliefs and values through both his words and the way he lived his life. He remained remarkably active until the very end, embracing life with the same determination and steadfast spirit that had always defined him.

Gene will be remembered for his unwavering dependability, generous heart, quiet wisdom, and the lasting example of faith and integrity he leaves behind. His legacy will continue through the family he loved so dearly and the many lives he touched along the way.

Gene is survived by his daughter, Stacy Brantley (Mike) of Perry; grandchildren, Alexandria Brantley of Perry, Katherine Carter of Warner Robins, Tori Brantley (Dre) of Cooper City, FL., Wesley Carter of Warner Robins, McKenzie Darsey (Luke) of Cochran, CJ Brantley (Spencer) of Medina, OH., Taylor Carter of Dublin, Tyler Carter of Dublin, Donovan Carter of Warner Robins, and Jacob Brantley of Denver, CO.; great-grandchildren, Bryson Madison, Liddie June Darsey, Kai Ramirez, Celeste Ramirez, and Josie Carter; and brother, Marlin Daub.

In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his son, Todd Daub, and his wife, Martha Hughes Daub. Her children are: Robert Carter of Warner Robins, John Carter of Cochran, and Jeffery Carter of Warner Robins.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home, with a funeral service immediately following in the chapel. Afterward, Gene will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Mausoleum.
