George Eliason, 76, entered into rest on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at the Georgia War Veteran's Home in Milledgeville.
George was born on January 15, 1937, in Boston, Massachusetts to the late George Francis Eliason, Sr. and Teresa Clark Eliason. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. After retiring from the US Air Force, he and his family settled in Warner Robins in 1979. George retired from Robins Air Force Base after many years of dedicated civil service as a sheet metal instructor. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and greatly enjoyed Japanese Koi fish, even serving as president of the Warner Robins Koi Society. His loving wife of fifty-one years, Gladys Carlene Eliason, brothers , William Eliason and Joseph Eliason, and great-grandchild, Natalee Brimm all preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Carlene Frances Meunier (Kevin), Bushnell, Illinois and Karl Jay Eliason (Sharon), Warner Robins; grandchildren, Sara, LeeAnna, Heather, Bailie and Kody; great-grandchildren, Duane, Jack, Nolan and one on the way, Niales; brother, Richard Eliason and sister, Jane Heinemann.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
