George W. Childress

George W. Childress, 73, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2005 at Serenity Gate. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 26, 2005 from 6 until 8 PM at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Houston County 103 Westridge Drive Warner Robins, Ga. 31088.

Mr. Childress was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. George was an honorary member of the Warner Robins Lioness Club. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base as a Program Manager. His parents, Richard and Cassie Childress; sister, Alice Williams, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Anne Childress, Warner Robins; daughters, Teresa Marie Childress, Warner Robins; Donna A. McGuffin, Byron; brothers, Frank D. Childress, Warner Robins; Richard V. Childress, Perry; Donald R. Childress, Vienna; Douglas Childress, Bonaire; grandsons, Joshua A. Kio, Byron; Jessie A. Kio, Byron; William L. Childress, Warner Robins; granddaughters, Michelle N. Kio, Byron.
