Georgia Papcke Zoul, born on May 4, 1945, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Charles and Delores Killey Papcke, passed away on March 30, 2025, at the age of 79.
Raised in Cleveland, she graduated from John Marshall High School and later attended a community college. Throughout her life, she held a variety of roles, including working for a phone company, checking patients into an ER, and serving as a secretary for an attorney. However, her most cherished role was that of a homemaker, where she devoted herself to caring for her family. Additionally, she managed the books for her husband's electrical company, contributing to their business's success.
In 2005, Georgia made the decision to move to Warner Robins, GA, to be closer to her family. There, she worked in the concession stand at Middle Georgia State University, where she became a beloved figure on campus. Known affectionately as "Grandma" by the students, she brought joy, warmth, and a sense of family to everyone who crossed her path.
Georgia had a deep love for spending time with her family, and nothing made her happier than being surrounded by them. She was a passionate fan of Elvis Presley and the beach, always ready to share a story, a smile, or a piece of advice with anyone who would listen. Known for her spicy, feisty personality, Georgia was never one to sit still for long; she was always a busybody, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a word of wisdom.
Her family will remember her not just for the love she gave, but for the humor, strength, and guidance she imparted on all who knew her. Georgia’s legacy will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, who will continue to cherish the many memories she leaves behind.
Georgia is survived by her daughter, Shelly Zoul Stineman of Kathleen, Georgia; grandchildren, Kristy Stineman of Warner Robins, Georgia and Lauren Rice (Aaron) of Kathleen, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Kynlee Rice, Declan Rice and Carlee Rice; and lifelong partner, Dan O'Hara.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Georgia will be laid to rest privately.
