Gerald “Jerry” Ollier, 68, entered into rest on Thursday, January 12, 2023.
Jerry was born on June 24, 1954, in Phoenix, Arizona to the late Gerald and Georgia Ollier. He was a paramedic for 42 years and saved hundreds of lives; he also passed his knowledge to countless students as a paramedic instructor. Jerry was one of the greats and an incredibly smart man. If you ever had the opportunity to meet him, then you know he lit up the room. Jerry had a heart of gold and would give anyone the last dollar in their pocket if they needed it. The funniest and kindest guy, he always had a smile and a joke (which was probably inappropriate, but hilarious). He loved his kids and grandkids beyond measure. He enjoyed trips and walks with his grandkids and had hoped his most recent surgery would afford him more of that. He loved fishing, rock and roll, a good burger, a cold beer, and his large stamp collection.
His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Genevieve Casey (Patrick) of Kathleen, Georgia and John Ollier (Jennifer Howe) of Bonaire, Georgia; grandchildren, Jenna Elizabeth, Ryan Christopher, Cameron Ambrose, and Reeve Michael; and half-sister, Cheryl Ollier. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brothers Bob, Tom, Jim, and Frank.
Private services will be held at a later date.
