Gladys Johnson Duke

Gladys Johnson Duke, 87, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 2, 2012.

Mrs. Duke was born on June 2, 1925 in Covington, Georgia. She retired from Wal-Mart after nineteen years as a Retail Merchandiser and enjoyed her later years as a wonderful homemaker. Her husband, William Thurman Duke; parents, Florence Filmore Johnson and Minnie Brooks Johnson; and siblings, Lavada Bankston, Olin Johnson, Eunice Gianturco, and Letson Johnson, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, William Duke (Mary Jane), Patricia McPherson (Reggie), Olin L. Duke, Alvin D. Duke (Lucy), and Randall L. Duke, Sr. (Tammy); thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and two on the way; sister, Willodean Montelbono; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, October 5, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Magnolia Park Cemetery with Pastor Alan Parker officiating.
