Glen Dallas Oody, 72, entered into rest on Monday, February 21, 2011.
Mr. Oody was born on January 31, 1939 in Harriman, Tennessee. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Air Force. He later worked as a civil servant, as a Sheet Metal Mechanic at Robins Air Force Base until his retirement. His father, George W. Oody, and grandson, Christopher Oody, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Charles "Chuck" and Terri Oody, Marshallville; Imral S. Hayes, Warner Robins; mother, Alva Tyler Oody; grandchildren, Heather Oody and Daisy Hayes; brothers, Arthur Lee and Doug Oody; sisters, Janice Webster and Pat Forrester.
A memorial service will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Mr. Oody's residence. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Central Georgia, P.O. Box 6533, Macon Georgia 31208.
