Glenda Metts Smith, 89, entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of Friday, August 21, 2026.

Born on July 31, 1937, Glenda was the daughter of the late Lewis and Lillie Chancy Metts. She was a proud graduate of Warner Robins High School, Class of 1956.

Outside of her working life, Glenda enjoyed ceramics and crocheting, often using her talent to make hats for babies in the hospital. She was an avid reader who could often be found with a good book, and she also loved watching western movies and working crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jim Sansbury; and brother, Owen Metts.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughters; Patty Cross (Chris), Donna Cole (Michael), and Susan Sansbury; grandchildren; Robby Cross (Sara), James Cross (Gabby), Ashley Williams (Dustin), Corbin Person (Anna), Jennifer Gossett, and Alexandra Candelaria; great grandchildren, Taylor Cross, Aubrey Cross, Brently Hansen, Raelynn Cross, Cate Slappey, Ryker Nicely, Wyatt Williams, Westlyn Williams, Margo Person, Thomas Person, Leo Candelaria, Jet Candelaria and Eli Candelaria; siblings, Raymond Metts, Wendell Metts, and Melba Griner.
