Glenn Waldon Morningstar, a beloved husband, loving father, and cherished friend, entered into rest on June 7, 2024, in Hawkinsville, Georgia. He was born on August 26, 1945, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to Glenn Orlando Morningstar and Helen Louise Morningstar.

Glenn's life was marked by a PROFOUND sense of duty and service. He answered the call to serve his country with pride, joining the army and rising to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. Following his military service, Glenn pursued a career as an engineer, dedicating his skills to Jones Automatic Sprinkler, Inc.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Glenn's heart overflowed with love and compassion. He cherished his wife, Patricia, with unwavering devotion, and his love for her knew no bounds. As a father, Glenn epitomized the essence of paternal love.  He was a pillar of strength to his children.

In his leisure time, Glenn found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a passionate supporter of the Florida Gators and loved listening to the Rolling Stones. His canine companion, Gigi, was a constant source of companionship and comfort. Glenn was also an avid pool player, showcasing his talent on a team and garnering admiration for his skill.

Above all, Glenn's legacy will be defined by his pure soul and boundless kindness. He touched the lives of all who knew him with his generous spirit and selfless heart, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and goodwill.  Glenn continually sacrificed himself for others in all aspects of life.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Helen Morningstar.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, his devoted children, Glenn Waldon Morningstar II (Denise), Kathryn Verhage (Col. Verhage, USAF, Ret), and Rebecca Morningstar (Donald); grandchildren, Trey, Allyson, Addysin, Katelynn, Sophia, Kinleigh and Alexander; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Atty, Silas, and Luke; and sister, Sheri Morningstar-Martin (Michael).  

The memory of Glenn's gentle spirit and generous heart will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following visitation.
