Gloria Lea Boler

Gloria Lea Boler went to be with her Lord and Savior on the evening of Tuesday, November 20, 2018. She was 83 years old.

Gloria was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 29, 1935 to the late Maj. Richard O. Beals, USAF (Ret.) and Madelyn Hainey Beals. With her father serving in the United States Air Force as Gloria and her siblings grew up, they had the opportunity to travel all around the United States. They were stationed in Alaska where she graduated high school, met and married her husband, SSgt. J.D. Boler, USAF (Ret.), and had her first born.

Gloria embraced the role of being a military wife and stay at home mom to her children. She was a longtime faithful member of Oakland Baptist Church and had a strong bond with her church family. Gloria also enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, crocheting, shopping, sewing.

In addition to her parents, Gloria will also be reunited with her beloved husband, J.D. Boler; and her sisters, Alice Walewski and Sandra Costello.

She will forever be an angel to her loving children, Jerry Boler (Trish) of Butler, Rick Boler (Barbara) of Ray City, Marci Boler Miller (Ricky) of Byron, and Donna Boler Nieves (Eddie) of Perry; grandchildren, Angela Harrell (Mark), Ryan Gaston, Jamison Boler (Monica), James Boler, Eric Gaston (Jess), Jennifer Moser (Ellis), Jessica Boler, and Jacob D. Ginger; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Leia, Lydia, Olivia, Brayden, Avery, Grace, Eli, Broderick, Bryce, Deven, Elliott, Cristiana, and Julietta; half-brothers, Donald and Kenneth Beals; half-sisters, Sherry and Barbara Beals; her sisters in Christ and her entire church family at Oakland Baptist.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 24, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Oakland Baptist Church. A funeral service to celebrate Gloria’s life will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. Mike Winfree officiating. She will be laid to rest next to J.D. in Andersonville National Cemetery at a later date.
